About Betty’s EFT Trainings in South Burlington, Vermont
LOCATION
Class are held at my home at 44 Barrett Street, South Burlington, VT (not at my office in Burlington). This is a convenient location within a mile of the airport, many hotels, and many restaurants. This is a residential street and parking anywhere along our street is fine.
The advantages of the home environment are many! A comfortable setting for our small-group gathering, separate rooms for your practice in pairs or triads, tea and snacks available at all times, the deck and yard for the option to practice outdoors in nice weather, the wood stove to keep us cozy for colder seasons.
Please be aware that I do have two cats. They are very well-behaved. I hope that will not present problems for anyone — do let me know. They will stay downstairs, especially if anyone is sensitive or allergic. But if there are any cat lovers among us (and no one allergic), they love to join in during the last hour or so when we are wrapping things up.
Brief directions
If arriving via Interstate 89, you take exit 14 E, the South Burlington exit. You’re then traveling east on Williston Road (Hwy 2). In less than a mile, you turn right onto Hinesburg Road. At about 1/2 mile, turn right on Barrett St. We are the 12th house on the right. (I always email the directions to everyone with a little map.)
LODGING
Because my location is only about 1 mile from the Burlington International Airport, we have many hotels and motels close by. Those closest to our Barrett Street location are the Best Western, the Doubletree Inn, La Quinta Inn (all on Williston Road), Comfort Inn & Suites (on Dorset Street), Holiday Inn (Williston Road), Green Mountain Suites (Dorset Street).
If you simple google to find South Burlington hotels… The hotels on Shelburne Road are in another part of South Burlington and are 3-4 miles from the class location, but that’s fine too. The Travelodge in South Burlington is on Shelburne Road and has sometimes offered good rates — check it out. Hotels with a Burlington address are probably about that distance as well, and even Colchester and Williston are within 5 miles. Basically everything is fairly close so if you find a good deal, go for it. We can still work with you for transportation between the airport and the hotel, the hotel and class. My husband does a lot of taxi-ing for me! And we do have Uber and Lyft, if you use those.
AIRBNB: Many class participants have had good results with www.airbnb.com which offers B&B lodgings in private homes. Go to the airbnb homepage and search “South Burlington, VT.” Check the map for proximity to 44 Barrett Street, South Burlington, though most area lodgings will be within just a few miles.
FOOD
Water, tea, and delicious snacks will be provided throughout the day. I provide a bountiful snack table to fuel our work! Snacks are vegetarian and many are gluten-free, but do let me know of any special needs. We will be working intensely and will need a nice lunch break, probably about 90 minutes. There is an excellent health food store with a food and salad bar as well as a variety of restaurants all within a mile radius. I will provide the class with suggestions. Sometimes the class chooses to order out and eat together. Any special needs, just let me know.
OTHER NEEDS?
Any transportation needs, please let me know. We do have both Uber and Lyft in the area, which tend to work very well. But my husband or my class assistant can also help! The best way to reach me is my cell phone, so do take the number for future reference: 802-881-1255.
Looking forward to our class!
