Update: The Times We Live In – Covid and More
What a year we have been through, my friends. The world has changed drastically since I last offered my EFT International Mentoring Groups. My heart goes out to all of my fellow EFT Practitioners for the hardships you may be going through. We are all living through a very challenging time, in every corner of the globe. May your skill in the healing arts and the gift of EFT continue to support you and everyone you share it with as we continue to move through these challenges and heal from all we’ve been through.
THIS IS HOW MY MENTORING GROUPS WORK:
- Our 90 minute sessions are offered weekly for four weeks, plus one bonus session (after a week off). You can sign up for the entire series to complete mentoring requirements, or if space permits, you can choose single sessions as a part of your annual mentoring.
- Our time will be 7 pm NY time, which also works for Australia and New Zealand (next day).
- These sessions will include acknowledgement of what is going on in our world. We will, of course, allow time for each participant to bring in their specific mentoring needs for their EFT practice. And with each session, we will keep in mind the broader context of these times we are living through.
THE PANDEMIC: This on-going threat presents a level of stress and challenge to our nervous systems that needs our attention and care. We will talk about EFT for self-care during this time as well as how to assist clients. We will also discuss ways that tapping can help us maintain a healthy immune system.
RACIAL JUSTICE AND OTHER INEQUALITIES: In addition, as healing arts practitioners, we all have a responsibility to understand social and racial justice issues. Here in the US, it is a critical question at this time and one that is relevant around the world as well.
To be trauma-informed EFT practitioners, we need to understand all we can about both personal trauma, collective trauma like the pandemic, and ancestral and racial trauma and the complex affects on the nervous systems of all of us. In these mentoring sessions, I will share what I have been learning about the vital necessity of somatic, body-centered approaches to bring healing to the many layers of trauma encoded in us all. It is important to bring healing to personal trauma and life challenges and also see these in the context of the broader collective traumas and challenges.
