The Rising Sun EFT Newsletter – January 2010
A Happy New Year to you! I wish you many blessings in 2010.
My new year was marked by two things. One, we had a beautiful snowfall here in Burlington, Vermont, the biggest in recorded history, about three feet of feathery snow (.9 meter). I love walking in the woods, where it is still a fairyland. We’re in the Champlain Valley between two mountain ranges, and the snow-capped mountains are a sight to behold.
Two: 2010 is ushering in our new website, www.EFTfree.net, an inspired project which was created in just three weeks!
A PUBLIC LIBRARY OF EFT RESOURCES
Since childhood, I have always loved public libraries. So much information at your fingertips and free access to all. When Gary Craig announced his retirement and the end of emofree.com, I was dismayed to think that we were losing the “public library of EFT” that Gary’s website had always been for me. My close friends and colleagues Jade Barbee, Carna Zacharias-Miller, Lynne Shaner and I begun discussing what we could do. The result is a not-for-profit, non-commercial, educational web resource designed to share the healing art of EFT: http://www.EFTfree.net.
I know that some of you on the Rising Sun EFT Group Newsletter have already visited www.EFTfree.net. We’ve had a week and a half to see how it’s going, and the responses have been overwhelmingly enthusiastic. This encourages us that our vision is shared and that this is something that is needed. If you haven’t yet taken a look, I’d love to invite you to do so.
ARTICLES TO YOUR INBOX
So many people wrote to me about the loss they were feeling with regard to Gary’s newsletter. Wasn’t it great to get fresh EFT information through those articles several times a week? I do miss it. What we’re offering through www.EFTfree.net is the option of signing up for our RSS feed. A couple of new EFT articles will be delivered to you in an e-mail once or twice a week (no more — no overwhelm, we promise.)
ARTICLES ARCHIVE
As the site grows we envision www.EFTfree.net to be a place to go to get ideas, find examples or look for answers to the question, “does it work for my issue?”
A CALL FOR ARTICLES
With this in mind, I’m putting out a call to all my friends on the Rising Sun EFT Group — can you contribute an article or two? If you take a look at our Contribute An Article page ( http://www.eftfree.net/contribute/ ), you’ll find that we welcome EFT articles and stories of all kinds. We see this site as a community effort, a place to connect and share. Would you be willing to help develop this resource? Just write up, even briefly, an EFT story, experience, case or idea, and send it our way asap. We would really appreciate it. And although we don’t allow direct promotions, your article always carries a live link to your website (if you have one).
A PLACE TO CONNECT
We’re already feeling the connections as people make a comments on the site (you can comment after any article) and as they join the Facebook fan page and sign up for the newsletter. We have more ideas about how to connect and co-create this valuable resource and we’re always open to your input. The newsletter will keep you informed of developments.
THIS NEW ERA
I spoke with Gary Craig recently. It was good to hear how he is doing. Much of what he told me is the same that he told Gary Williams on the Tribute interview here:
http://emotionalfreedomtechniques.bravehost.com/gary_craig_tribute_welcome.php
(Gary Williams is doing something really special with this tribute, by the way, and I’m enjoying the interviews.)
Gary Craig says that he is interested in seeing what develops in the EFT world, but that he truly does not want to be involved. His archives may or may not be available in the future — there is still no answer to that question. But as he told me, there is certainly room for a whole new library of EFT articles and resources. I hope there will be many of these. We’re happy that we can contribute one with our offering of www.EFTfree.net.
with love,
Betty
