AN EFT TIP – How To Tap for Anger
Recently, anger issues have come up both for myself and for some clients, so I’d like to share with you one of my favorite approaches with anger.
I believe that anger has meaning and purpose. It is a message from our system that something is wrong, that we are being mistreated, and its purpose is to get us to do something about it. We may need to set a boundary, communicate our feelings, or distance from a toxic situation. There is a lot of power in anger. Here are some of the ways I tap for anger:
Even though I think I shouldn’t feel so angry because I’m a good and kind person, the truth is, this is just how I feel! I’m furious!
Even though I’m really angry, I can be with this anger and let it out! Let these feelings safely flow and have my say right here!
(tapping while venting is great stuff — tap the points and say what you need to say, with vehemence!)
Even though I’m so angry, the truth is, there’s a lot of power in this emotion… I want to keep the power and let go of the poison.
I want to transform this power into clarity and strength… so I can see clearly… and set boundaries…and do what is needed… keep the power and let go of the poison.
It really works! As the angry intensity subsides, I usually feel more empowered, clear and strong, often with a good idea of what I need to do.
